Finnish Industry Investment is co-operating with the Australian Sentient Group having a target to develop risk financing for the mining industry. The Sentient Group and Industry Investment are currently establishing a special fund for mining operations, The Fennoscandian Mining Fund. The region that the fund will serve comprises Finland, Sweden, Norway, Greenland and north-west Russia.
The Sentient Group held its Council Meeting in Helsinki on 29th September, 2003. Mr. Lipponen, Speaker of Parliament was invited to the keynote speaker at the Fennoscandian Mining Fund Dinner.
