Industry Investment and Ilmarinen have invested a total of MEUR 4 in Machinery Group Ltd. The Finnish multisectoral group operates internationally, importing and marketing toys and games, supplying technical products and parts, and offering industrial maintenance services. The Group represents strong global brands in both Finland and the Baltic countries.

Amo Ltd is Finland’s largest importer and marketer of toys, representing internationally renowned brands such as Babyborn, Chicco, Nikko, Ravensburger, Scalextric and Nintendo.

Machinery is one of Finland’s biggest companies in the technical trade sector. Its customers include the engineering industry, process industries in the manufacturing sector, the Finnish Defence Forces and other public sector bodies. The company’s main product groups also cover diesel motors and generators as well as construction machinery.

Machinery Service Finland Oy offers industrial maintenance services.

Tampereen Konepalvelu Ltd
supplies new and used machines to engineering companies and is Finland’s largest vendor of used metalworking machine tools.

“Machinery ideally suits Industry Investment Ltd’s portfolio because it operates in services, which is our current area of focus. There has been a strong trend of outsourcing industrial services, a trend expected to grow throughout Western Europe. It’s also rewarding to contribute to the growth and development of a Finnish-owned family concern – for instance, through boardwork,” explains Director Kimmo Viertola.
