Industry Investment to Invest MEUR 10 in CapMan Buyout Fund

Finnish Industry Investment has given a MEUR 10 investment commitment to the CapMan Buyout IX LP fund, which specialises in buyouts in the Nordic countries. The fund’s size is currently MEUR 221, and the fund is still fundraising.

The fund makes majority investments in buyouts in the Nordic countries in those sectors that are mature, consolidating or undergoing change. Target companies have a turnover of MEUR 50-500. The fund’s objectives are the growth, improved profitability and clearer strategic focus of its portfolio companies.

CapMan is one of the leading alternative asset managers in the Nordic countries and Russia and manages funds with approximately €3.4 billion in total capital. CapMan’s operations are divided into two business areas, CapMan Private Equity and CapMan Real Estate. The CapMan team comprises 140 people in Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo and Moscow. The B shares of CapMan Plc are listed on Helsinki Stock Exchange since 2001.

Finnish Industry Investment Ltd isa government-owned investment company. It invests the proceeds accrued from the privatisation of state-owned companies in stimulating the growth and internationalisation of Finnish businesses. Finnish Industry Investment invests in venture capital funds and directly in growth companies, together with private co-investors. The targets are in all sectors.
