Kari Ståhlberg, MSc, CEFA, has started work as Finnish Industry Investment Ltd's Investment Manager as part of the team making capital investments in growth companies. Mr Ståhlberg's duties include evaluating companies that are of interest as investment targets, preparing and implementing investments in funds, and participating in the management of recipient companies.
Kari Ståhlberg moved to Finnish Industry Investment from JP Capital's London office, where he worked for six years as Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions. Mr Ståhlberg has extensive experience of the forest industry and sectors related to it such as the chemical, energy and mechanical engineering industries. Before his posting to London, Mr Ståhlberg worked for Jaakko Pöyry Consulting as Analyst, Corporate Finance and Investment Analysis.
Finnish Industry Investment Ltd is a government-owned investment company. Founded in 1995, the company invests in the growth and internationalization of Finnish companies. The investment capital is generated from the proceeds accrued from the privatization of state-owned companies. The investments and investment commitments of Finnish Industry Investment amount to some EUR 330 million.
