The Board of Directors of Finnish Industry Investment Ltd has appointed Martin Backman (44) as the new President & CEO of the company. He will assume his new role by 1 December 2014. Finnish Industry Investment’s current President & CEO Juha Marjosola will retire in September 2015. He will continue working for the company as Senior Advisor until then, supporting the new President & CEO and managing significant Board memberships.
Martin Backman has extensive experience in Nordic private equity. He has been employed by CVC Capital Partners in Stockholm since 2007, most recently as Managing Director. Prior to this, he has worked at Advium Corporate Finance, Industri Kapital and Lexel Group. Martin Backman holds a Master’s degree in Technology from Helsinki University of Technology and a Master’s in Economics from Swedish School of Economics in Helsinki.
