Martin Backman will assume his role as President & CEO of Finnish Industry Investment as of 1 September 2014. Juha Marjosola will continue in the company as Senior Advisor until his retirement in September 2015. The company’s Board appointed Backman as President & CEO in May.
Martin Backman has extensive experience in Nordic private equity. Most recently he has been Managing Director of CVC Capital Partners in Stockholm. Prior to this, he has worked at Advium Corporate Finance, Industri Kapital and Lexel Group. He holds a Master’s degree in Technology from Helsinki University of Technology and a Master’s in Economics from Swedish School of Economics in Helsinki.
