Sentica, Industry Investment and the company’s key personnel acquire Helsinki Paramedic Ambulance Ltd from Nurminen

A fund managed by private equity investor Sentica Partners, Finnish Industry Investment Ltd and the company’s key personnel have acquired Helsinki Paramedic Ambulance Ltd (HES) from Nurminen Logistics Oyj. HES plans to expand its operations and strengthen its position as the leading player in Finland through the change in ownership. The consolidation of the paramedic ambulance sector offers promising future prospects for larger operators. The transaction price was MEUR 7.8 million.

The HES Group is the leading private ambulance operator in Finland. The Group comprises 9 regional companies operating in some 30 municipal areas in different parts of Finland. Under its new ownership, the companies’ operations will be developed and the companies integrated into a single harmonised entity. The goal is to ensure the same high standard of service and quality in all the Group’s units. HES’s customers are Finnish municipalities and hospitals. The Group employs some 250 healthcare professionals, and expects to generate almost MEUR 10 in net sales this year.
