Private equity investor Sentica Partners Oys new fund raised MEUR 50 from leading Finnish institutional investors before the first closing of the fund. The largest investment commitments to the Sentica Buyout III fund came from Finnish Industry Investment Ltd, Ilmarinen Pension Insurance Company and Etera Mutual Pension Insurance Company, which are also the main investors in Senticas previous buyout funds.
The Sentica Buyout III fund will primarily make majority investments in target companies with an enterprise value of MEUR 15-50. The typical size of the investment is MEUR 4-12. Investments are focused on companies with substantial growth potential through either internationalisation or a new strategic focus, with opportunities for restructuring in fragmented industries, or with opportunities to operate successfully as spin-offs of larger corporations.
Fund-raising will continue, with the final target size being MEUR 100.
