Tesi AIFM Oy currently manages external assets in five KRR funds-of-funds (KRR I / KRR II / KRR III / KRR IV / KRR V). The KRR funds-of-funds have given Finnish institutional investors a resource-efficient way to gain, through a single investment decision, diversified and broad-based exposure to domestic private equity funds and the Finnish growth company market.
The KRRs managed by Tesi AIFM Oy act as anchor investors in Finnish venture capital, growth and buyout funds. The KRR model has been both impactful and profitable. This successful operating concept has already supported the scaling up of dozens of new private equity funds and the growth and internationalisation of hundreds of Finnish companies. The KRR funds-of-funds have invested in more than 50 Finnish private equity funds, which in turn have invested in almost 500 Finnish companies.
The KRR concept has meant that, by European standards, Finnish venture capital funds hold an exceptionally high share of capital from earnings-related pension insurance companies. KRR investments have also proven a profitable asset class for Finnish institutional investors.
In addition to managing alternative investment funds, Tesi AIFM Oy’s authorisation allows it to offer professional investors asset management, investment advice, and the reception and transmission of orders. Under its authorisation, Tesi AIFM Oy may manage alternative investment funds that follow private equity and fund-of-funds investment strategies.
Piia-Noora Kauppi has been appointed as an independent external member of the Board of Directors of Tesi AIFM Oy.
