Tesi to be capitalised by EUR 100 million

The Government decided on 5 June 2025 that the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment may capitalise Finnish Industry Investment Ltd (Tesi) by EUR 100 million. The capitalisation will implement the Government’s decision taken in the spending limits discussion to raise Tesi’s capital by a total of EUR 300 million. The announced EUR 100 million is the instalment for 2025.

The capitalisation will be used to strengthen Tesi’s equity capital, which in turn will enable the company to participate in more sizeable growth funding rounds as part of its stronger industrial policy role. Tesi’s investment activities will increasingly focus on the funding rounds of Finnish high-tech companies in the scale-up phase as well as the best industrial-scale projects.

Tesi is a minority investor operating on market terms and it invests together with private investors. In addition to its own investment activities, Tesi aims to leverage a significant amount of national and international funding for Finnish growth companies, new industrial sectors as well as venture capital and private equity funds. Through its activities, Tesi also strengthens domestic ownership.
