On 25 June 2026, the Government authorised the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment to capitalise Finnish Industry Investment Ltd (Tesi) by EUR 50 million. The capitalisation will be used in particular for direct market-based investments that strengthen the growth of companies in Finland.
The capitalisation now to be made implements the growth package agreed by the Government in its spending limits discussion on 16 April 2024. The company will implement the objective through its Growth direct investment programme. The appropriation is included in the 2026 State budget. The focus of the investments will be on funding rounds of research- and technology-driven companies in the scale-up phase as well as scalable industrial-scale projects to promote investments.
Tesi is a minority investor operating on market terms and it invests together with private investors. In addition to its own investment activities, Tesi aims to leverage a significant amount of national and international funding for Finnish growth companies, new industrial sectors and venture capital and private equity funds. Through its activities, Tesi also strengthens domestic ownership.
