Finnish VC firm Vendep Capital has announced its fourth fund, totaling EUR 80 million. The specialist fund invests in early-stage SaaS) companies focused on B2B sales across the Nordic and Baltic regions.
Investors in the fund include Tesi, the KRR fund-of-fund (KRR V) it manages, Sitra, Pension Insurance Company Elo as well as new investors such as University of Jyväskylä.
The fund makes investments ranging from EUR 100,000 to EUR 3 million, depending on the company’s growth stage. Vendep aims to invest in 20 companies, from the very beginning up to Series A rounds. While the fund has reached its target size, fundraising remains open for new investors for a limited time.
“Vendep has demonstrated strong performance in venture investing and is one of the leading names in its segment in the Nordics. The firm has also shown its ability to scale Finnish portfolio companies to larger size categories, which aligns directly with Tesi’s objectives. I congratulate the team on this achievement in a challenging fundraising environment,” says Samuel Wendelin, Director of Tesi’s Fund Investments team.
