Lassi Noponen is the Director General of Business Finland. He has previously served as Special Adviser to the Minister of Economic Affairs and Financial Markets (2023–2024), as a founding shareholder/Chairman of the Board/CEO of Eagle Filters Group Oyj (2010–2023), as Chairman of the Board of Windwind Oy (2006–2009), as a founding shareholder/CEO of Proventia Group Oyj (2000–2006), as a partner at Evli Corporate Finance Oy (1999–2000), and at Neste Oyj as Group Controller, Head of Corporate Restructuring and Intangible Assets, and as Legal Counsel (1992–1998). From 2008 to 2015, he also served as Chairman/Board Member of Incap Oyj. Noponen is a permanent expert on the Prime Minister’s Science and Innovation Council and a Board Member of Technology Academy Finland. He was awarded the Cleantech Scandinavia Award in 2008.
