Intera Partners announced its fifth fund (Intera Fund V) at the hard cap of EUR 450 million, exceeding its target of EUR 375 million. The fund attracted a diverse and international investor base and represents the largest Finnish buyout fund to date. Both Tesi and the KRR V fund-of-funds it manages are among the fund’s investors. The investor base is notably international.
Founded in 2007, Intera Partners is a Finnish later-stage private equity investor that also operates in Sweden. It invests in entrepreneur-led services and technology companies with significant potential to scale and internationalise.
“Intera has made significant contributions to the growth and international expansion of Finnish growth companies. Now that the manager has been able to raise a considerably larger fund than before, it is well-positioned to make bigger investments and take its portfolio companies further. Intera has also succeeded in attracting a substantial amount of capital from international investors. Finnish funds growing in size strengthens domestic ownership, which benefits Finnish society as a whole,” says Petri Serenius, Investment Director at Tesi.
Tesi has previously invested in Intera’s first, third and fourth funds. The KRR funds-of-funds (KRR I–V) have not invested in the manager’s earlier funds. One of Tesi’s goals is to help create new funds of international scale in Finland to strengthen the availability of domestic equity financing.
