We are looking for new Investment Analyst Trainees for full-time, fixed-term (4-5 months) positions for both Direct Investment and Fund Investment teams. These traineeships will start in January 2024 depending on your situation. In Tesi’s Fund Investment team, you will support the team in all investment activities, including fund manager assessment, market & industry research and portfolio management. In Direct Investment teams you will work with both of Tesi’s direct investment teams investing in tech-driven startups and growth companies.

Regardless of which team you work in, you will participate in market and industry research, investment opportunity assessment and material preparation for decision-making and market insights. As an Investment Analyst Trainee you will be an integral part of our investment teams, and will participate in meeting and interviewing both our current as well as potential new investment opportunities. In addition, you will help in our portfolio management together with other investment team members. We value a general understanding of company financials and economic development, but first and foremost we are looking for a person with an eye for detail and eagerness to learn. Investment Analyst Trainee, Direct Investments

Tesi’s Direct Investment teams are looking for an Investment Analyst trainee. You will work with both of our direct investment teams that invest in tech-driven startups and growth companies. Part of your traineeship will be in our Venture Capital team and the other in our Growth & Industrial team. In addition to the previously mentioned tasks, you will deep dive into target company evaluation, and be tasked with financial modeling (e.g. valuation). Investment Analyst Trainee, Fund Investments

Tesi’s Fund Investment team is looking for an Investment Analyst trainee. You will work in the Fund investment team that invests in Finnish and international private equity/venture capital funds, within the whole spectrum from seed-funds to buyout-funds. In addition to the previously mentioned tasks, you will participate in fund team, strategy and track record assessment as a part of fund investment proposal evaluation. You have
  • Relevant university studies (3rd – 5th year) for example in (but not limited to) business, engineering, natural sciences, or similar fields
  • General understanding of company financials and interest in the venture capital and private equity market
  • Sufficient skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Full working proficiency in English and Finnish
  • We value previous experience from relevant positions (including, but not limited to startups, business development, strategy consulting, or investment banking)
