Second growth fund by Voland Partners – focus on Finnish tech companies
Finnish private equity firm Voland Partners has announced its second fund, Voland Technology Growth Fund II, targeting a size of EUR 120 million. The fund is set to become one of the largest growth funds in Finland’s history and will invest in around ten profitable, growth-stage Finnish technology companies. Both Tesi and the Kasvurahastojen rahasto V fund-of-funds (KRR V), which it manages, are among the fund’s investors.
Founded in 2022, Voland makes minority investments in Finnish IT services, SaaS and technology-driven companies with revenues of EUR 10–50 million. The fund’s model is built on what Voland calls co-entrepreneurship: alongside capital, Voland’s team gives portfolio companies’ founders and management hands-on support with internationalisation, acquisitions and strategy development. Voland’s first fund has invested in eight Finnish companies, which have grown by an average of 27% a year during Voland’s ownership.
