Aidon, leading provider of smart grid and metering solutions in the Nordic, has been acquired by Gridspertise S.r.l, a global player offering digital transformation solutions for power grids. Hence, Tesi exits its long-term investment in Aidon. Other exiting investors included Alder and 2VK Invest.

With the acquisition Gridspertise strengthens its overall technology portfolio and its position in the Nordic markets. Aidon will continue to operate as a stand-alone company under Gridspertise ownership.

It is truly wonderful to witness how Aidon has progressed during our long ownership from a hardware focused company into a truly Nordic supplier of state-of-the-art smart metering and smart grid solutions. The transaction also demonstrates the strength of Finnish tech know-how as well as the country’s attractiveness for investment. Although Tesi exits the investment, we are excited to see Aidon’s journey enter a new growth phase,” says Jan-Patrick Haikkola, Investment Manager at Tesi.

Tesi made its initial investment in Aidon in 2004 and remained on board when a Nordic private equity investor Alder became the majority owner in the company in 2013.
