Trading in the shares of Finnish quantum computer manufacturer IQM Quantum Computers (IQM) began on the Helsinki Stock Exchange today, 3 July 2026. With its listing, IQM made stock market history: it is the first quantum technology company in Europe to go public, and also the first company to be dual-listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange and in the United States. Tesi (Finnish Industry Investment Ltd) has been an investor in and active owner of IQM since 2019, and Tesi will continue as an owner following the listing as well.
IQM is the first company to be dual-listed on both the Helsinki Stock Exchange and a US exchange, and Europe’s first publicly listed quantum technology company. In the United States, the company’s shares can be traded on the Nasdaq Stock Market LLC in New York.
At the time of listing, IQM’s owners include a strong group of international investors as well as Tesi and the Finnish pension companies Ilmarinen, Elo, and Varma. Tesi’s ownership stake exceeds 9%.
In connection with the listing arrangements, the company raised a so-called PIPE financing round of 146 million dollars from investors, in which Tesi also participated. In total, IQM has raised 545 million dollars in growth financing.
Spun off from Aalto University as a deep-tech company, IQM is a global pioneer in superconducting quantum computing, delivering comprehensive quantum systems and cloud platform solutions to companies, research institutions, high-performance computing centers, and national laboratories around the world. IQM was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Espoo.
“Finland is emerging as a European powerhouse in building research-driven growth companies. We are proud to say that Europe’s first listing of a quantum technology company is also taking place right here in Finland,” says Tesi’s CEO Pia Santavirta.
“Ambitious deep-tech companies like IQM are cornerstones of Finland’s growth. Tesi has strongly supported IQM’s path to listing and will continue as a growth owner of the company following the listing as well,” says Juha Lehtola, Tesi’s Director of Venture and Growth Investments.
